We homo sapiens have much to be proud of regarding the past 50,000 years. We went from the caves to the Bronze Age to intergalactic space exploration in practically no time.
All this while our fellow life forms, the birds, bugs, and worms hardly nudged the evolution needle.
Be proud of this, guys. This is not only evolution but also progress as in improvement. Pat yourselves on the back.
All us Sapiens, you and me should participate and benefit from this astounding improvement in the human condition.
Here’s the problem: Stone Age guys grew up got old and ended life at the top of their game. By age 27 they knew almost everything there was to know, became respected wisemen or elders of the community. They strutted around the cave proud and confident they knew what was what – the repository of all wisdom and learning in the world. By knowing everything there was to know about stones, they became the Leonardo Da Vinci of the cave.
Doesn’t work that way now. I don’t strut at all these days as a senior approaching the life expectancy age. I’m not in the council of elders, either. I’m just a senior dependent on my 13-year-old grandchild to install apps on my cell phone, reprogram the TV remote, and figure out ChatGPT (Artificial intelligence).

Stone Age man only needed to understand stones. Artificial intelligent space-age man can hardly master his one field of learning let alone emerging areas of study. Even with a PhD in every field, you will not become a Leonardo. You’ll be dependent on a grandkid, or a robot instead of the top of your game.
What if one day an Extra-Terrestrial arrived, and watched me talking to my grandson? Who would they conclude is the Master and who would they think clueless?
Is this the evolution we were looking for? Each year we are further down the success ladder of life.
Wouldn’t you prefer to be strutting around like Da Vinci, or Aristotle as you age? Isn’t a Stone Age elder more respected than

Modern Guy” being guided by a pre-teen kid?
